Strides for Caregivers (autism specific)*: This service is appropriate for you if you have a child diagnosed with autism who is NOT currently receiving ABA services with another provider (i.e. on wait lists for more intensive services, graduated from intensive ABA but minor concerns are persisting, etc.). This service involves caregiver coaching focused on reducing challenging behaviors, increasing desired skills in their child (including encouraging functional communication, toileting, feeding, safety skills, and social skills), and navigating the ABA world. Please note Strides does not currently employ RBTs (Registered Behavior Technicians); consultation is with a BCBA only. Consultation frequency may be as frequent as 3 hours per week, or as few as 1 hour per month…it depends on the current need for your family and can be modified at any time!
Strides for Caregivers (other diagnosis or no diagnosis): This service is appropriate for you if you have a child with a diagnosis other than autism (including but not limited to: Down syndrome, ADHD, ODD, etc.) OR no diagnosis but is exhibiting challenging behavior concerns. This service involves caregiver coaching on how to implement strategies to decrease problem behaviors, and how to teach your child new skills using positive methods. Think Super Nanny! Consultation frequency may be as frequent as 3 hours per week, or as few as 1 hour per month…it depends on the current need for your family and can be modified at any time!
Strides for Potty Training!: This potty training boot camp is 10 hours dedicated to you and your child, including a 1 hour planning/prep session, 8 hours hands on potty training, and a 1 hour follow up/troubleshooting session. This boot camp is most successful with 2.5-4 year old children who are beginning to show signs of readiness (diaper stays dry for longer periods of time, finds diaper uncomfortable, occasionally wakes up dry after sleeping, etc.), but has been implemented successfully with children 5-8 with and without developmental delays. (Disclaimer: Please speak with your child’s pediatrician if you have concerns of a medical condition such as constipation, bladder infections, etc. that may affect your child’s ability to be successfully potty trained until managed.)
