Why Does this service exist: Strides was created to serve: caregivers who are at their wits end, caregivers who are being told that there are 2 year waiting lists for ABA services and want guidance on what to do while they wait, caregivers who are managing a child with a new diagnosis and how to navigate and get their child the support they need, and even caregivers who have minor or short term goals for the child (like potty training or tackling a specific skill like the child sleeping independently).
Where Do we Serve: Strides comes to you (home, school, etc.) if you leave in the Denver Metro. Otherwise, services are offered via Telehealth anywhere in the world.
How Much: Services are $150 per hour. Discounted rates apply for bundled packages (a minimum of 5 hours for individuals). Please visit the Services page for details on packages. (Your insurance provider may reimburse for this service! Contact us for more information.)
How Long Does this service usually last: Generally anywhere from 2 months to multiple years. It is extremely variable based on the severity of the concerns and how quickly your concerns are resolved. Please contact us to schedule a complementary intake to discuss your needs and get an estimate.
What if We’re Not a Good Fit: Strides conducts a free 20 minute intake call for all families interested in learning more about how Strides can assist with their child. Strides also recommends purchasing an initial 1 hour consultation before buying a package, just to make sure you feel that Strides is a good match for your needs.
What if I Don’t Want On-going Parent Coaching, but Help on one Specific Issue: Not a problem! We offer packages to address specific issues (for example, toilet training or sleep training) that are intended to be short term. When your package is up, you may decide to discontinue consultation OR, if you decide you would like additional support on that issue or another issue, you are more than welcome to buy an additional package.
Do you do Diagnostic Assessments: No, not at this time. We ARE able to assess your child’s skills and assist in setting individualized goals for your child (for a future ABA provider to use or for your own reference).
My Child has Behavior issues at School; Can you assist?: Yes, we consult with schools. However please keep in mind that this is at the discretion of the school district. If the school does allow Strides to observe your child or consult with your child’s teacher, the level of involvement will vary based on individual need. Please note that this is generally a caregiver coaching model therefore caregiver involvement is still required even if some time is spent collaborating directly with the school or teacher.
